K-O Changed Again!
At the explicit request of Elgin City the
kick-off for the match at Cliftonhill on November 12th has been returned to 3pm.
The match was originally changed to avoid a direct clash with the Scotland v
U.S.A. match.
Douglas Departs
Youth player Ian Douglas has departed for pastures new.

Draw At Methil
Jim Chapman was asked to vacate the technical area
by referee Allan as Rovers held on for a draw at the First 2 Finance Stadium.
Scott Chaplain put Rovers ahead in 11 minutes and the equaliser came in 77
minutes from McDonald.
A full match report with pics shall be on the site later.

A.G.M. Announced
The club A.G.M. has been fixed for Thursday 3rd November at 7.30 in the
"Season Ticket Lounge". The meeting shall see shareholders consider
the accounts for years ended 2001 and 2002 along with voting whether Frank Meade
and Lew McWilliam should stay on the board as well as the re-election of Robert
Watt.
K-O Changed
As the Scotland v USA friendly on 12th
November kicks off 4pm Rovers home match with Elgin will have a 2pm kick
off. The thought was that it would be unfair to expect Elgin and their
supporters to travel down midweek.

Honours
Even
Rovers drew 1 - 1 with Montrose tonight in front of
a predictably small crowd. The match kicked off a couple of minutes early to no
atmosphere but livened up later. In the 2nd half Rovers dominated but couldn't
convert any chances into goals. Wallace was the scorer of Rovers goal and
sparkled for most of the match with one or two others most notably Gordon
Lennon.
A match report without pics (it's too dark for my digital camera) shall be on the site later.
(22/10/05)
Lichties Licked
Rovers won 2 - 1 at Gayfield this afternoon George
Wallace scoring the winner just 2 minutes after Danny Black was sent off for receiving
a second caution. Scott Friel had scored from the penalty spot to equalise the
match after the Red Lichties had taken the lead. The win took Rovers off the
bottom and up to 8th place in the table.
Arbroath dominated parts of the match and had more chances but Rovers plugged away relentlessly. A few frankly odd decisions by the referee added a strange atmosphere to the proceedings.
A match report with pics shall be on the site later.

Christmas Goodies
The club have taken delivery of Albion Rovers clocks which
are made out of a C.D. They come boxed, and are reproduced in the club colours.

For the uninitiated the club shop is situated

pie shop and the wall at the end of the stand and the entrance is on your left!

including the much acclaimed programme!

Scottish Cup
The draw for the first and second rounds
of the Tennent's Scottish Cup were made today at Allan Park, home of Cove
Rangers FC. Rovers have been drawn away to Partick Thistle on 19th November in
the 1st round and should they get past the 2nd division side shall be away to
the winner of the East Stirlingshire v Stenhousemuir tie on 10th December. The
last meeting between Rovers and Thistle ended in a 2-1 victory for the then 1st
division side last season at Hamilton in the Bell's cup, having a decent season thus
far Thistle are sitting 3rd in the league table at present..
One side effect of the draw is that Rovers first home game after the match against Elgin City on November 12th shall not be until the 17th of December against East Stirlingshire.
(16/10/05)
Youth Cup
Rovers youth team exited the cup 2 - 0 away to
Kilmarnock in the 2nd round this afternoon. The Killie correspondent reports
that Rovers put up a valiant fight but it wasn't enough to put them in the 3rd
round draw.
(15/10/05)
Cowden Blues
Rovers succumbed 3 - 0 to Cowdenbeath today whose
first goal of the day was their 5000th league goal and a larger than usual band
of their travelling support seemed to enjoy it. One so much he dropped his pie
and Bovril so at least Rovers coffers made a wee bit extra out of the goal!
A minute's silence was held before the match in respect of former director David Lyttle and a fan.
A full match report with pics shall be on the site later!

Bottom After 'Shire
defeat
Rovers slipped to the bottom of the league after
losing 3-1 at Firs Park today. It's the first defeat to the Falkirk side in 16
games, the last coming just over 4 years ago.
Iain Diack became the third ex-Rover to score against his former employers this season when he bagged 2, the first coming from a penalty when George Wallace inexplicably handled a high ball in the box. Rovers goal was a bizarre own-goal by MacKay of the 'Shire.
A full match report with pics will be on the site later.
