No Bus To Fife
Ian the bus organiser reports that there shall not
be a bus to Cowdenbeath on Saturday as the usual provider hasn't one available
and the cheapest alternative is 50% more expensive.

Fixture Change
Due to Berwick Rangers surprise exit from
the Scottish Cup at the hands of Spartans freeing up Saturday 10th of December
in their calendar, Rovers shall now venture south of the border on that date
instead of the previously rearranged Tue 6th date.

Out With
Heads Held High
Rovers exited the Scottish Cup
tonight but can hold their heads high as they did us proud in the process. Yes
Thistle did dominate once more but Rovers had their chances and Iain Chisholm's
equaliser was a well worked goal sending home fans delirious.
Match Rescheduled
The away game at Berwick (postponed from this coming Saturday) has been arranged
for Tuesday 6th December at 7.30.
Game On
Tonight's replay against Partick Thistle is on
after passing inspection at noon. Admission prices are we understand the usual
Rovers prices £10 and £5 although we don't believe the kids in for free offer
will apply. The referee is Chris Boyle as whistler Lee Evans of the first match
has returned to Wales!
We also understand that season tickets are valid as it's still the 1st round!

Replay Tuesday - Free Saturday
The cup replay against Partick Thistle has been confirmed
for tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd) at Cliftonhill. The pitch is scheduled to have an
inspection at 12 noon tomorrow as the weather has not improved sufficiently thus
far to guarantee it's playable.
If the match is postponed again it shall be rescheduled for Monday 28th then we believe Wednesday 30th and if all these prove unsuitable Saturday 3rd December when we were supposed to be visiting Cowdenbeath on league duty. Rovers fans may be hoping for Monday as it shall give Gordon Lennon more time to recover from the knock he received at Firhill.
As we previously advised you Rovers will have a free Saturday this week as Berwick Rangers are playing their cup tie at Spartans instead of hosting us.

Thistle Match After
A spirited Rovers side weathered the storm
of a Thistle onslaught and equalised with what could easily prove to be goal of
the season by Donachy. Rovers large travelling support make much more noise than
their counterparts. Captain Scott Friel being sent off for a second yellow card
and Gordon Lennon limping off detracted somewhat from the experience.
The replay was pencilled in for this Tuesday (22nd) but may be played on Saturday (26th) instead, whenever played it shall definitely be at Cliftonhill. We shall be in a position to confirm the date on Monday.
Thistle Match
Before
At the time of writing Partick Thistle v Rovers is
almost certain to be the only Scottish Cup 1st round match to survive the
freezing conditions. Unfortunately the postponement of the Spartans v Berwick
Rangers match means that fixture will now take place next Saturday when Rovers
were due to visit Berwick, when this match shall be rescheduled remains to be
seen!

Bargain Day Out
Saturday's Scottish Cup match at Firhill shall be a bargain day out
for Rovers fans. Firstly of course is a free bus to the match paid for by
the club (people who've put their names down only) then the Scottish Sun will be
running a Tennent's Scottish Cup 2 for 1 promotion in Saturday's paper.
The Sun will publish the cut out coupon where any ADULT fan that wishes to come
to a game can cut the coupon out, fill in their details and bring it along to
the game. They can then redeem the coupon at the turnstile for free entry for an
adult when accompanying another PAYING customer.
Please note that all coupons must have all details completed and, at Tennent's
request, Thistle have been asked that this offer apply to over 18's only. The
price shall then effectively be a mere £6.50 for adults!
(13/11/05)
Welsh Referee
Next Saturdays match at Firhill in the Scottish Cup
shall be refereed by Welsh Premier official Lee Evans. Yesterday's clash between
Llanelli and Haverfordwest was refereed by Scottish whistler Mike Tumilty as
part of an exchange scheme between the FAW and the SFA which started last
season.
Buses To Firhill
The free buses laid on by the club to the Scottish Cup match shall leave the
ground at 1.30. The club bar is, we understand, not open and only those who have
reserved a seat by adding their name to the list in the bar or having phoned the
club shall be guaranteed a seat.

Elgin Takeaway
Despite Rovers dominating most of the match it was
Elgin who headed home with 3 points. Martin Bonnar gave received a red card for
"saving" on the line, the resulting penalty being skied gave home fans
hope but City scored twice to draw level on points with Rovers in the league
table.
A match report shall be on the site tomorrow.

Elgin
Another important match looms for Rovers this weekend when Elgin are the
visitors in a match sponsored by this website (partly funded by an ex-pat fan).
Rovers need all three points which could springboard them up the table, whereas
City would draw level on points in the event they won. Jim Chapman shall be
serving the first of a 2 match dugout ban in this game and it has been confirmed
that the ban shall apply to the Scottish Cup match at Firhill next Saturday.

Reserve Cup Exit
Rovers with one or two first team players amongst
their ranks lost the 1st round match 3 - 1 to Hamilton Accies at Cliftonhill
tonight. The first goal came in 26 minutes when a long ball was missed by Creer
and McGregor scored with a spectacular overhead kick from a few yards out. The
second came from an Accies corner which Houston put into his own net in 34
minutes.
Substitute Scott Friel pulled one back for Rovers when he hit in a free-kick which took a slight deflection on its way into the goal. Gonzales of Accies completed the scoring in 73 minutes.
Chappie Ban
Rovers head-coach has the dubious honour of becoming the first manager of a
senior team in Scotland to be dealt with by a new disciplinary procedure. His
ejection from the technical area on Saturday at Methil earns him an automatic 2
game ban. Previously he'd have had to wait until the next meeting of the
football beaks which can be several weeks to hear what punishment was meted out.
