Lennon Injury
It's reported that Gordon Lennon could be out for 6
weeks with a torn hamstring obtained on Saturday in the match against East Fife.
That timetable would give the influential defender only the final two games of
the season, excepting play-offs.

Dreech Day
Is was a dreech day at Cliftonhill which saw Rovers
lose 3-0 to an East Fife side who hadn't won since December 2nd. Rovers would
have leapfrogged the Fifers in the league if they'd won but it never looked
likely in the often heavy downpour!
Anniversary Kit To Be Revealed
This Tuesdays' match at Cliftonhill against Stenhousemuir shall see the launch
of the strip to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the club. Although strictly
"eyes only" at the moment it seems the colours shall not, as
previously thought revert to the pre-1961 colors of blue and white.
Instead it's expected to be red and yellow in hue. The kit shall be modelled at
half-time by a player, the club hope to wear it for real in the last (barring
play-offs) match of the season at home to East Stirlingshire on 28th April.
Race Night
A reminder that this Friday (2nd March) sees the Albion Rovers Supporters' Trust
race night commencing at 7.30pm. Tickets are £2 per person from committee members
and admission includes pie and peas. The trust have obtained a drinks licence
for this event on the off chance that anyone wants a refresher!
The races involve horses and are shown on the big screen in Chic's Cafe! There shall also be a raffle with some unusual prizes as well as bottles of drink!

It's been reported that former Cliftonhill youth
development officer Jimmy Lindsay has been charged by the police with theft of
heart monitors from the club. Lindsay left Rovers when the youth system was
discontinued and took up a similar role with Montrose in the summer, he recently
departed from Montrose under mysterious circumstances and was last week
announced as new under 15's coach for Celtic.

Rock-y 2 Minutes
A 2 minute period after the break sunk Rovers at
the Strathclyde Homes Stadium in which Rovers gifted 2 goals to Dumbarton. A
huge travelling support within a bumper 745 crowd were left disappointed. Rovers
drop 3 places to 6th in the table as a result. New boy John McGoldrick was given
35 minutes from the bench.
A match report shall be on the site later!
Off The Ball
Club director Pat Rolink was on the BBC Radio Scotland programme "Off The
Ball", the programme can be heard online until next Friday by clicking HERE.
Things mentioned include redeveloping the stadium, share issues, community

Bids rejected
Yesterday - the
final day of the transfer window Rovers received a bid from Airdrie United for
Gordon Lennon who'd spent some time training with the 1st division side last
week. A bid for goalmachine Scott Chaplain was received from 1st division outfit
Clyde with whom he had spent a week training recently. Both bids were rejected
"out of hand" by the club, general manager John Reynolds stating he
thought them "derisory and insulting".
Incoming
Rovers have signed 18 year-old goalkeeper David Scott from Clyde. The 6 foot 1
lad was formerly in Rovers youth side leaving in August 2005 to head for
Broadwood.
Also arriving at Cliftonhill is another 18 year-old John McGoldrick who is on loan from Partick Thistle until the end of the season. The 6 foot striker formerly featured in the Scotland under 17 side so shows some promise!
