Match Off
Tomorrow's match against East
Stirlingshire has been postponed due to freezing weather in Coatbridge.
(26/2/04)
Crunchie
Falkirk fans have paid their hero Kevin
McAllister the ultimate compliment by voting him Falkirk player of the millennium.
They are to name a couple of boxes in their new stadium after the maestro.
'Shire Game
This Saturday's match at Cliftonhill is
already in doubt as the Cliftonhill pitch is frozen in parts. As the visitors
don't have too far to come any inspection may be left until noon of perhaps 1
pm.
Schools Cup
The competition formerly known as the
Airdrie Schools Cup is to be revived this year in a new guise. The new
competition will be for Airdrie and Coatbridge schools, the semi-finals will be
held at Cliftonhill on Sunday May 9th and the final the following Saturday 15th
May at Broomfield.
Soccer Festival
Youth supremo Jimmy Lindsay will stage the
annual Rovers
soccer festival at Cliftonhill the weekend of 15th/16th of May at Cliftonhill.

No Cup Final
Rovers lost their Reserve League Cup
semi-final 3-0 against St. Mirren at Love Street tonight, Saints go on to meet
St Johnstone in the final.
(21/2/04)
Elgin
Perhaps Rovers were slightly lucky to win
but that's what they did! City had no less that five former Rovers players in
their squad but it didn't help them as they lost 2-1. Ricky Patrick scored his
first in the senior side to win the match after Paul McManus got the first.
A match report will be on the site tomorrow.

Reserve Cup
Rovers will play their Reserve League Cup
semi-final against St. Mirren at Love Street next Tuesday. The winner will meet
St Johnstone who beat Raith Rovers 1-0 in the other semi.
(17/2/04)
Stranraer Too Strong
Lee Collins who left Cliftonhill almost
nine years ago opened the scoring thus adding his name to the growing list of
ex-players doing so! Stranraer were just too quick. John Bradford scoring just
seconds after coming off the bench was the bright spot of the match for Rovers.

Not Quite A Massacre
Scott Crabbe and Paul McManus paired up
for the first time but were unable to score. If it hadn't been for an excellent
performance by Neil Bennett it may well have been the feared St. Valentines Day
massacre.
A full match report will be on the site later today.

Dire Situation
As expected the whole board of directors
turned out for the fans' forum tonight at Cliftonhill. The main subject was the
future of Cliftonhill itself. Several other subjects were also raised and a
summary can be found here.
Injury Update
Goalkeeper Chris
Fahey trained tonight so may not be out as long as feared and David Farrell
should start training again in a week or two. Meanwhile midfield dynamo Chris
Silvestro is having no pressure put upon him to return quickly, next season
remains the target for his return.
A.G.M.
It was announced that the notices of
meeting will be posted to shareholders in the next couple of weeks, giving 21
days notice of the A.G.M.

Crabbe Signs On(9/2/04)
Fans' Forum
A reminder that the fans' forum is being
held this Thursday at Cliftonhill kick-off 7.30 in the bar. Sandwiches and
tea/coffee are being laid on by Chic Young. The whole board of directors as well
as general manager John Reynolds as well as manager Kevin McAllister are
expected to be in attendance.
Press Talk
The News Of The World suggests that Rovers
are amongst five clubs trying to sign Ayr United striker Stephen Whalen.
Apparently he isn't getting a game at Somerset Park but isn't keen to move. The
Daily Record today suggests that veteran Alloa Athletic player Scott Crabbe,
formerly of Hearts as well as numerous other teams is set to become assistant
manager at Cliftonhill.
(7/2/04)
Wintry Win
Rovers leap-frogged Queen's Park to take
7th place in the league after they ran out 3-0 winners against
visitors Montrose in very wintry weather at Cliftonhill. Paul McManus started
the match and was inspired, scoring one of the goals himself. A minutes silence
was observed before kick-off for former Scotland manager Ally McLeod and former
Rovers chairman David Forrester.
Match report will (possibly with pics) be on the site tomorrow.
Match Rearranged
As expected the postponed match against
Peterhead has been arranged for Tuesday 2nd March with a 7.30pm kick-off.
Montrose
Paul McManus is reportedly nearing 100%
fitness and may well start against Montrose. The Links Park club have recently
had to raise significant amount of cash to keep going. A loan of something like
£25000 was secured. As Rovers have already lost on three occasions to Montrose
so far this season revenge will be on their minds come 3 o'clock.
(2/2/04)
Reserves Tonight
Although probably too late for anybody
wanting to go Rovers are playing at New Lesser Hampden in the reserves tonight,
weather permitting it will kick-off at 7.30pm.
Window Closes
The transfer window closed on Saturday
without any further players leaving or arriving at Cliftonhill. As the rules
have been relaxed for SFL clubs there is still the possibility of a couple of
signings between now and the end of the season.
Fans' Forum
We understand that the whole board of directors
are likely to be present at the event which is on Thursday 12th February 7.30 pm
in the Rovers bar.
Peterhead
We hear that the Peterhead bus had reached
Cumbernauld by the time the match was called off on Saturday. The pitch had been
fine at 11.30 but was unplayable by its 12.30 inspection. The match is likely to
be rescheduled for Tuesday 2nd March, but we shall confirm this as soon as
possible.
