Cathy O'Hare
Santa (well it was actually Peter McClurg
- the similarities are obvious) paid a visit to Cathy and Joe O'Hare tonight
with a goody box and card with a 3 figure sum of cash in it which Peter
collected on Saturday at the match. As you'll probably be aware neither have
been up to coming to the games lately.
Cathy and Joe thank everybody who chipped in.

How Long?
Rovers lost yet again - this time 3-2 to a last
minute goal from 10 man Cowdenbeath who had 'keeper Carlin red carded after just
over a half hour. This makes it 14 matches without a win for Rovers and fans
wonder how long this can last. Once more the fitness of the players has been
called into question with the late goal.
East Stirlingshire manager Dennis Newall who won the Bell's manager of the month award for November was at Cliftonhill today as his teams game was off to see his son Chris who was playing for Cowdenbeath. As 'Shire are only 3 points behind Rovers with 2 games in hand he must fancy their chances of overtaking Rovers in the new year.
As Rovers don't have a game till January 1st Kevin McAllister and the board of directors must take the free time to consider the best way forward for Albion Rovers. It's blatantly obvious that change is needed to stop this headlong decline as it's unacceptable that a largely full-time team is struggling to stay ahead of the £10 a week East Stirlingshire at the foot of the league.
A full match report will be on the site tomorrow.

Fire
Not content with Rovers having enough
problems at the moment some local idiots tried to set the stand on fire on
Saturday night. They brought a wheelie bin with them and set it alight too. The
fire service coped with the situation and we still have a stand from which to
watch next Saturdays match.

Cup Exit
Rovers didn't make it into the 3rd round
draw which saw Arbroath paired with Aberdeen at Gayfield in the new year. The
season effectively finished today with only a more respectable league position
being there to fight for.
A full match report will be on the site tomorrow.

Cup
Match
Should there be the need for a replay in
this match it will take place the following Saturday 18 December at Gayfield.
This would mean the home match against Cowdenbeath being played on a Tuesday
midweek to be decided by the League. Admission prices for the Arbroath match
will be £9.00 and £5.00 and season tickets are not valid for this 2nd round
match.

Reserves
Rovers reserves drew 1-1 at St. Mirren yesterday
with John Bradford scoring our goal. The next reserve match takes place at
Cliftonhill next Tuesday against Partick Thistle kick-off is 2pm!

Suicidal
Just 3 minutes from their first win since September
11th Kerr Potter stupidly pulled down Iain Dick at the edge of the box when the
former Rovers striker was going towards the touchline. Robertson scored the
equalising penalty and Rovers spent the remaining seconds trying not to lose the
game!
A full match report will be on the site tonight or perhaps tomorrow night.

Diack To
Face Rovers
Iain Diack has been signed on loan by East
Stirlingshire and seems certain to start against Rovers tomorrow in the do or
die battle to avoid bottom place in the league. Diack has been out of favour at
Cappielow and former Rovers coach Dennis Newall moved to bring him to Firs Park.
As Rovers fans will remember Diack left Cliftonhill "for a job outwith
football" only to sign for Arbroath within a fortnight. Meanwhile Jordan Smith seems unlikely to feature as his hamstring injury has not
fully healed.
