Albion
Rovers 5000th League Goal Prediction Rules
1)
The competition is to predict the scorer of Albion Rovers 5000th
goal in the SFL.
2)
Entrants pick the match, player and time of the goal in whole minutes.
3)
Entry to the competition is subject to a minimum donation of £1 per
entry or £5 for multiples of 6 entries made at the same time. Entries without
appropriate donations shall not be eligible to win.
4)
The goal time used for these purposes shall be that announced on the BBC
website. If there is any doubt who the scorer is the player shall be that
acknowledged by the SFA.
5)
The prize shall be 50% of all money placed on predictions subject to a
guaranteed minimum of £150 and a hospitality package for 2 persons at an Albion
Rovers home match (to be agreed). In addition a £50 bonus shall be paid to the
winner if their prediction was placed 14 or more days prior to the goal being
scored. In the event that 2 or more entrants correctly predict the player and
match the entrant whose goal time closest matches the time of scoring shall be
the winner. Should 2 or more entrants pick the correct time, or a time of equal
distance from the correct time all such entrants shall share the winnings
equally. In that event the hospitality package shall (at the discretion of the
supporters’ trust) either be awarded at random to one winner or to all
winners.
6)
Predictions must be lodged before kick-off of the match predicted. In the
event the match is postponed, abandoned (even if the predicted player has scored
in that match) or the predicted player does not feature in the said match no
refund or alternative prediction shall be available.
7)
The 5000th goal is that decided by the supporters trust and no
discussion shall be entered into about the number of goals scored. For guidance
the number of goals scored at time of writing (25th January 2006) is

8)
The competition shall continue until the scoring of the 5000th
goal no matter when this occurs and only goals scored in league matches
including promotion play-offs count towards the total.
9)
Entrants have the option of choosing an own-goal to be the 5000th
and if such a selection is made they should not specify a particular opposition
player but shall still pick a match and time. Entrants may also choose a match
official to score the 5000th goal, but have no need to specify
whether referee or assistant as all shall count. They may also choose a trialist
and have no need to name them.
10)
Goals scored in time added on for injuries and stoppages etc. shall be
counted as 45 minutes for first half, 90 minutes for second half, 105 minutes
for 1st half of extra-time and 120 minutes for 2nd half of
extra-time.

shall not count towards the total.
